01 · What it is

A config, not a distro fork

jatstation is the workstation layer of the jatstack: an opinionated, Hyprland-based Linux desktop configuration tuned for running an agent fleet alongside a human developer. Where jat orchestrates agents and jat-appliance gives them dedicated compute, jatstation sets up the machine you actually sit at — window manager, bar, launcher, terminal, and keybindings — so agent panes, notifications, and your own workflow share one coherent desktop instead of fighting each other.

Point it at a fresh Arch + Hyprland install (or an existing one) and it converges dotfiles, keybinds, and theming from a single curated manifest — the same way the rest of the jatstack converges config across a fleet of machines rather than treating each box as a one-off. (The project is still jomarchy under the hood — same repo, same dotfiles; jatstation is its jat-family name.)

Built on the shoulders of Omarchy, the Hyprland-based Arch setup jatstation extends. Omarchy nails the opinionated, beautiful desktop; jatstation layers the agent-fleet conventions on top. Credit and thanks to the upstream project.

03 · How it fits

The desk the stack is operated from

jatstation is the desktop a jatstack developer runs day-to-day: jat for orchestration, jat-pilot for driving your own browser, jat-secret for credentials, and jat.run for reaching machines on the tailnet — all configured to feel native on top of it.

Two tools plus two tools makes five: the four wired to feel native, and the desk they're all operated from.
